Citizen Smith could be heading back to TV, star Robert Lindsay says.

Jack Dee is to take over BBC Two’s companion show to The Apprentice, You’re Fired, and Romesh Ranganathan will be a regular panellist.

Meanwhile, Ranganathan is also  working on a semi-autobiographical sitcom for Sky 1.

Peter Capaldi is to direct some episodes of Veep.

British acts Paul Zerdin and Piff The Magic Dragon have both made it through to the final of America's Got Talent.

American comic Eugene Mirman is releasing his next stand-up show as a seven-album box set that includes him crying for 45 minutes, 195 orgasms and an introduction to Russian.

David Walliams is recording a new sketch show for BBC One.

Josh Widdicombe was forced to cancel the opening night of his tour  after a power cut hit the Playhouse Theatre in Oxford.

And Terry Gilliam has laughed off reports of his death.
