A fifth series of Matt Le Blanc comedy Episodes has been commissioned.

ITV2 comedy Plebs is being promoted to the main ITV channel.

Katie Hopkins is hoping to employ comedians to boost her career – via a debate show from the people who brought you Dapper Laughs On The Pull.

ITV is to air a documentary about Kenny Everett this Christmas, featuring unseen home movie footage and family photographs.

Angela Barnes has landed her first Radio 4 series... while Morwenna Banks and Rebecca Front are to star in a new Radio 4 sitcom based in a library.

Billy Connolly is to cross mainland USA by train for a new ITV travel series.

Sky 1 has ordered a third series of Lee Mack's panel show Duck Quacks Don't Echo.

Channel 4 has been recommissioning, too, with new series for Raised By Wolves and Drifters

And Dave has snapped up the rights to acclaimed US mockumentary Parks and Recreation.

best shows at the 2015 festival.

We have today announced details of this year's Chortle conference, an invaluable day of events giving comedians and would-be comedians (and writers) invaluable advice on the business workings of the industry. All the details

We've also announced the lineup for this year's Fast Fringe, with almost 30 Edinburgh-bound comedy and variety acts doing very short sets for your entertainment  The show takes place at the Leicester Square Theatre on Sunday July 5, and tickets – and the line-up –  are available here

A trailer for a dark_net, a short film starring Johnny Vegas; a couple of Jurassic World-inspired spoofs and British comedy-ventriloquist Paul Zerdin appears on America's Got Talent, among many more
